At the Santa Cruz Salvation Army Corp. we were warmly welcomed by Vivianna and her husband Adrian. They kindly came in on their day off, let us into the centre and directed us to the days tasks. Roland sorted and displayed the many beautiful donated clothes and Belinda wrapping fleece blankets destined for a seniors Christmas event. Together we managed to wrapping over 300 blankets. These newly acquired fine motor skills will put us in good standing for a job up at the north pole, any time we want one. We attended the church the following day and enjoyed meeting other members of the congregation. The kids wanted to make sure we did not forget Santa Cruz, so they strategically put some 'sweet as' stickers on our bike. Plus as you can see we even managed to pick up our first hitch hiker.

Kiaora, Roland and Belinda. Roland - while I understand you have a personality that means you sometimes demonstrate apparent amusing behaviour, my concern is that as this trip goes along this latest act may be showing a tendency for you to confuse your wife (as demonstrated by the parcel switching shown in clip). Belinda needs support and love NOT confusion. Belinda, it could be helpful for you to contact and explain how you are really feeling and why you recently felt the need to "Break Free" on a single bike. Don't feel concerned this is to be expected as TBS (Tandem Bike Syndrome) often occurs around this period of time into an Epic ...did you say adventure??? … er er mumble mumble -perhaps delusional as well............ PLEASE CONTACT URGENTLY!

Looks like it was a great place to be. Nice to have helped with that big task of wrapping. Love the photo of the 'hitchhiker'! Shape of things to come?
