We had a really great day in Prince George. As soon as we arrived we were put to work. We put apron's on (which roland looked absolutely gorgeous in) and we helped the other dedicated volunteers prepare and serve lunch and of course doing the clean up afterwards. It was super fun working with the ladies in the kitchen and the day went by very quickly. We thought it was great how much effort goes into presenting the meals in a nice way (ensuring lots of colour is used etc) and trying to incorporate a balanced diet for their clients. There was also a newspaper article in the local paper about what we are doing to help get some advertising for the Salvation Army and encourage new volunteers. Click here to see the article. You'll love how we look in hair nets!

Part of what we wish to accomplish over the next year is not only the cycling, but also giving back to the communities which we will pass through. Archives
